A Cowardly Boy's Great Escape! 

Caution : MaskMask doesn't star a strong and mighty Hero. Our protagonist is a cowardly boy who does nothing but complain and run away! Why? Because the Hero has gone missing! At the village chief's request, this timid kid sets off on a perilous journey to find the Hero—the only one who can defeat the terrifying demon that suddenly appeared in this world. The world is in grave danger, and our protagonist is just a scared little kid... But don't worry too much! With the mysterious masks given to him by the chief, he might just make it to the Hero in one piece! 

Can't Fight? Swap Your Mask! 

Since you can't fight the monsters head-on, wear their faces! Match your mask to a monster's color, and they'll mistake you for an ally. But watch out—monsters of other colors will still chase you! Luckily, the enemies fooled by your mask will stop in place, blocking the path of other monsters. Swap your masks at the right moment to escape danger! 

Your Trusty(?) Allies: Spirits and Weapons 

Just as the boy grumbles, spirits and weapons might feel a bit weak at first. But if luck is on your side and you keep getting the same spirits or weapons until they reach MAX LEVEL?! You'll breeze through even the hardest stages! (...Probably?)

Development

• MaskMask is my very first game. Before starting this project, I had no coding experience.
• I developed the core mechanics, including the mask system, and used Claude Code to add and improve features.
• All graphics and audio were sourced from free and paid assets on the Unity Asset Store.
• The story and dialogue were written entirely by me.
• Since English isn't my first language, I used AI assistance for the English translation and personally reviewed and edited the results.
